Melinda Kramer graduated from WashU in 2003 with a BA in Cultural Anthropology and Environmental Studies. In addition to working with various NGOs, such as CARE International, Pacific Environment and the Natural Capital Institute, she is best known for founding The Women’s Earth Alliance (WEA). The nonprofit seeks to foster sustainability while empowering women and indigenous populations around the globe. Several of its programs to catalyze women’s climate solutions, provide safe water and clean cookstoves are making an impact in Sub-Saharan Africa.
