The International and Area Studies office and staff, as well as the Overseas Programs office and staff, moved to the Academy Building on Monday, July 30, 2012. Staff will be located on the second floor of the building. Reach us by the foot bridge over Forest Park Parkway, and down the left staircase. Enter the building on the south side, and proceed up the stairs.
The building is available to WU students via card access from 8:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
We’ll return to our McMillan offices at the end of the Fall 2012 semester once construction is complete on McMillan Hall.
Detailed directions to the Academy Building:
The Academy Building is on University Drive, a small alley parallel to Forest Park Parkway, just opposite the main Danforth (Hilltop) campus.
How to get here from campus: Head toward the Loop by walking north from Hilltop Campus between Cupples II and Louderman. Take the footbridge across Forest Park Parkway. To the left of the footbridge, you will find the Academy Building. Our door is facing Forest Park Parkway and is accessible via WU card between 8:30am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
From the Loop: From Delmar, turn south on to Melville (located between Blueberry Hill and Smoothie King). Follow Melville down to the end before the alleyway. Turn right on to Kingsbury and then make an immediate left (which will be a continuation of Melville) into the Ames Place residential area. At the end of Melville you will turn left into a small parking lot in front of the Academy Building. Our door is facing Forest Park Parkway and is accessible via WU card between 8:30am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
From I-64: From I-64 West, take the Clayton Rd./Skinker Blvd. exit and turn right on to Skinker Blvd. From I-64 East, take the McCausland exit and turn left on to McCausland (this road becomes Skinker Blvd). Follow Skinker Blvd. north until you reach Delmar, then turn left onto Delmar. Follow Delmar down past Blueberry Hill, then turn left (south) on to Melville.
