The McDonnell International Scholars Academy 10 Year Anniversary & Alumni Event
The Next Academy Alumni Workshop was a a major, 10-year reunion event.
The Academy Scholars are part of a group of future global leaders who have been shaped by their time together in graduate or professional degree study at Washington University in St. Louis. Our goal is to increase the strength of their network with alumni workshops. These provide an opportunity for alumni to reflect on the experiences they have had since graduating. While we seek to provide opportunities for discussion for alumni, we also want to be sure this discussion is heard by current scholars, academy ambassadors, members of the steering committee, and members of the external advisory committee, and other guests.
Hosted on the Danforth Campus of Washington University in St. Louis, we celebrated our alumni and our 10 year anniversary. Workshops, guest lectures and gala receptions culminated in a weekend full of activities and networking opportunities.

Hotel Reservations & Cancellation Policies
Hotel reservations may be requested directly to the hotel via phone or online, indicating room type preference, provide dates of stay, and credit card information to hold the reservation. No advance charges are applied.
Upon finalization of your reservation by Crown Plaza Hotel, confirmation numbers will be sent via the contact information you provide.
Credit card information will be required upon check-in; settlement of any payment due must occur at check-out. Room availability and/or special rates will be available until the depletion of the room block. For this reason, it is highly recommended that reservations be made well in advance. The cancellation policies apply once reservations are confirmed.
Cancellations must be received at least 72 hours prior to scheduled arrival or one night room and tax charges will be assessed to the credit card provided upon request for accommodations.
Information provided to assist with the process of obtaining a visa to the U.S.. is to be utilized for informational purposes only. Specific guidelines and visa application procedures relative to various international regions should be provided by an authorized visa processing service or appropriate U.S Department of state official.
Obtaining a Visa
Dependent upon the issuing country of your valid passport, you may require a visa issued by the U.S. Department of State, in order to enter the U.S. If a visa is required, it is strongly recommended that the application process be initiated at least 3 months in advance of travel. Preliminary information can be found on the U.S. Department of State’s Consular Affairs website.
Citizens from countries who are current participants in the Visa Waiver Program can visit the U.S. without a visa provided certain requirements are met. Consult the Visa Waiver Program website for a list of participating countries and additional requirements.
