A discussion with former Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright and former National Security Advisor Stephen J. Hadley, moderated by Jon Sawyer, Executive Director of the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting took place on February 8 in Graham Chapel on the Danforth Campus of Washington University in St. Louis.
Secretary Albright and Stephen Hadley were co-chairs of the Atlantic Council’s Middle East Strategy Task Force (housed with the Rafik Hariri Center), a two-year initiative aimed at forging new policy solutions that harness the resources and human capital of the Middle East region itself as a solution to state failure, civil wars, and extremist violence.
Albright and Hadley are speaking at a diverse set of educational institutions affiliated with the Pulitzer Center, a non profit journalism organization that has sponsored dozens of reporting projects on the Middle East.
This event was sponsored by the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, the Atlantic Council, and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for International Affairs at Washington University in St. Louis.
